After losing his starting place in IFK Göteborg's midfield, 29-year-old Swedish midfielder Filip Ottosson is leaving the club and is nearing a loan move to Norwegian side Lillestrøm. The prospective new club is set to play in the Europa League in the autumn. The deal being discussed between the two clubs is reported to be a loan that would last until the end of the year and includes a purchase option. Ottosson joined IFK Göteborg from Sandefjord last winter and is under contract until the end of 2029. In the 2025/2026 Allsvenskan season, he has made 14 appearances and scored one goal.
