Filip Lichý Transfer from Slovan Bratislava to FK Košice

Slovakian central midfielder Filip Lichý will spend the spring part of the season on loan at FC Košice from Slovan Bratislava, becoming the second player to leave the club during the winter break. The 25-year-old homegrown player is joining a team that is currently 11th in the Niké liga. Ivan Kmotrík ml., the general director of Slovan Bratislava, stated that the club allowed Lichý to leave to gain more playing time and develop his potential. Kmotrík ml. described the loan as a good solution for all parties involved and wished the player a successful spring. This season, Lichý made eight appearances in the Niké liga and three in the Slovnaft Cup, captaining the team in several matches, after returning from a previous loan at Dukla Praha. Lichý, who joined Slovan Bratislava in January 2020, has a contract with the club until 30/06/2026 and has made 10 appearances for the Slovakia U21 team, scoring one goal. His market value is currently estimated at €200k by Transfermarkt.
