Benfica and FC Porto were reportedly interested in signing 22-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder Fer Lopez this summer, ahead of Wolves' first Championship term in eight years. During this period, it was also claimed the attacker had expressed a desire to leave the club. Following links to Crystal Palace, Wolves reportedly valued the player at £40 million late in the window. Lopez, who joined Wolves in July 2025, has a contract until 2030. His current market value is €22.00m, according to Transfermarkt. He has made five appearances for Spain's U21 team, scoring one goal.
