Félix Torres leaving Corinthians?
ESPN BR reports that Corinthians has been impeded from registering players since August due to a debt of about R$ 40 million with Santos Laguna related to the signing of defender Félix Torres. The club expects to pay the amount by the end of the year.
Corinthians is unable to proceed with any transfers due to a FIFA transfer ban. The ban is related to a debt owed for the transfer of Félix Torres from Santos Laguna, Mexico. Corinthians attempted to negotiate the payment of 70% of the debt in installments, but Santos Laguna insisted on full payment upfront, which Corinthians cannot afford. As a result, no expectations of resolving this before the transfer window closes.
