Bukovyna has invited 19-year-old Ukrainian Fedir Babak for a trial as the club seeks to strengthen its squad following its promotion. Babak, who can play as a defensive or central midfielder as well as a forward, is being given a second opportunity after he previously did not convince head coach Serhiy Shyshchenko. The midfielder moved to Germany in January 2023 from the Slovakian club Slovan to join Paderborn, where he played for the U-17, U-19, and second teams. Last season, he made 20 appearances without any goal contributions. Babak also has two caps for the Ukraine U-19 national team. His contract with Paderborn expires on June 30, 2027, and his current market value is €25k, according to Transfermarkt.
