Olympiacos is considering a summer move for Almeria's 24-year-old Italian, left-footed centre-back Federico Bonini, who is on the club's transfer list, with manager José Luis Mendilibar's knowledge of Spanish football said to be a factor in the interest. Spanish journalist Paco Martinez of Diario De Almeria has described Bonini as a key and important player for Almeria, valued for his strength and consistency. According to Martinez, no transfer talks will take place during the team's promotion battle. The potential asking price, which will depend on whether Almeria is promoted to La Liga, is not expected to be less than the €3 million the club paid Catanzaro for him last summer. Generally, Almeria's valuation for their central defenders is in the range of €5-6 million. The player's contract with the Spanish club is valid until the summer of 2031.
