Tuttomercatoweb.com reported that Federico Baschirotto was recently linked with a potential move to Legia Warszawa. However, Maciej Ziółkowski from Legia.net stated that there is no topic of bringing the Italian defender to the club and that Baschirotto will not play for Legia.

Legia Warszawa is interested in signing Federico Baschirotto, a 29-year-old Italian centre-back from US Cremonese. The player is seeking a new club because Cremonese was relegated from Serie A, and Legia wants to increase competition within its defense. Other clubs have also been mentioned as potential options for Baschirotto, including Udinese Calcio, Cagliari, Genoa, Lecce, and Kasimpasa. The situation is considered to be open, and Legia's management may have an advantage as the player's main priority is to get regular playing time. A loan is considered the most realistic transfer scenario, given his contract runs until June 30, 2028. Baschirotto joined Cremonese in July 2025 and has not yet been capped by the Italian national team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €3.50m.
