Oldham Athletic have signed 20-year-old English-Nigerian forward Favour Fawunmi on a season-long loan from Championship side Stoke City. Fawunmi, who is a product of West Ham United's academy and joined Stoke City in 2025, has also extended his contract with his parent club. The forward spent part of last season on loan with League One side Leyton Orient. During the 2025/2026 season, he scored 17 goals in 49 appearances for Stoke's U18 and U21 sides, and also made nine senior appearances across the Championship and his loan spell in League One. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €100k, and Shrewsbury Town were also linked with a move.
