Baltika is pursuing Zenit's 28-year-old Russian goalkeeper Evgeny Latyshonok as a replacement for their current first-choice keeper, Maxim Borisko, who may transfer to CSKA. Journalist Ivan Karpov reported on his Telegram channel that the Kaliningrad club will try to sign Latyshonok on loan. The report adds that the clubs are already discussing the division of the player's salary, which is around €1 million annually at Zenit. Latyshonok, who has two caps for Russia, joined Zenit on July 1, 2024, and his contract runs until 2028. His current market value is €1.50m, according to Transfermarkt. Baltika also has an alternative option in Nikita Chagrov from Rotor, whose transfer could cost 30 million rubles, and who is also being monitored by two other RPL clubs.
