German defensive midfielder Erik Majetschak, 26, will leave FC Erzgebirge Aue in the summer. Majetschak, who joined the club in July 2019, announced his decision on Monday evening in an emotional Instagram post. Majetschak said the decision is still very recent and feels strange, sad and almost unreal. His contract with the club was set to expire on June 30, 2026.
