VfL Wolfsburg is one of several clubs interested in St. Pauli's 29-year-old centre-back, Eric Smith. The Swedish international, who has been capped twice by his country, has also drawn interest from Paderborn and Elversberg, as well as English club Burnley and Italian side Monza. FC København has also shown interest in Smith, but the player has decided to wait before finding a new club in the current window. Smith joined St. Pauli in July 2021, is under contract until 2027, and has a current market value of €5.00m.
