The New York Red Bulls have opened negotiations with Cameroonian centre-forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, 36, to activate the extension option in his contract. Discussions are currently ongoing. His current contract ends in December 2025. Choupo-Moting joined the club in January 2025 and has 76 caps and 20 goals for the Cameroon national team. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €1.50m.
