Rio Ave has acquired 25-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Ennio van der Gouw on loan from Belgian side Zulte Waregem, in an agreement announced by the Vila do Conde club's SAD. The deal is valid until the end of the current season and includes a purchase option. Van der Gouw, who completed his youth training at Twente in the Netherlands, was brought in to increase the team's goalkeeping options, with his technical quality and physical capacity highlighted as assets for the squad. He will join the group immediately, and his arrival is expected to result in the departure of one of the club's other goalkeepers. His contract with parent club Zulte Waregem runs until 30/06/2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €400k.
