Emmanuel Iwe Transfer from Sandhausen to Waldhof Mannheim
Emmanuel Iwe has joined Waldhof Mannheim to bolster their offensive capabilities. The club's sports director, Mathias Schober, noted that Iwe's speed and physical robustness are key attributes that align with their offensive strategy. Iwe conveyed his excitement about playing in front of Mannheim's passionate supporters. Previously, Iwe participated in 30 third-division games for SV Sandhausen, scoring three goals and providing four assists, but was unable to prevent their drop to the Regionalliga. The transfer comes as Waldhof Mannheim seeks to resolve their offensive challenges, having scored only 43 goals last season, which made them the second weakest attack in the league. Iwe's signing follows that of Kushtrim Asallari, as the club aims to rejuvenate their attack. Gerhard Zuber, another sports director at the club, emphasized that Iwe's speed and physicality are ideal for their strategy to add more pace and threat on the wings. Although details of the contract duration remain undisclosed, Iwe is expected to play a vital role at the Carl-Benz-Stadion, as the team narrowly avoided relegation last season.
