Barcelona was one of several major European clubs that reportedly tried everything to sign 16-year-old central defender Emmanuel Fejokwu this summer. Fejokwu, who holds both English and Dutch nationality, opted to complete a move to Club Brugge from West Ham United. Arsenal, Ajax, and AC Milan also made significant efforts to secure the player. Fejokwu has been capped nine times for the England U16 team and has been formally announced as a Club Brugge player. He signed a three-year contract and will initially join their reserve team, Club NXT.
