Emmanuel Essiam, a 22-year-old, has been signed by Winterthur from FC Basel. The Ghanaian midfielder was at Borains in the Belgian second division for the first half of the season, making five appearances, four of which were as a substitute. That loan was terminated prematurely, which allowed for the move to Winterthur. The move is another loan, for a duration of one and a half years until the end of the following season. Essiam has also previously been on loan at SLO and Aarau in the Challenge League.

After half a year, FC Basel has terminated the loan of Emmanuel Essiam at Royal Francs Borains, a club in the Belgian second division. The Ghanaian midfielder will instead be loaned to a league competitor, FC Winterthur. The loan is for a duration of one and a half years and will run until the summer of 2027. Essiam joined Basel in January 2021 and has made eleven appearances for the club's first team.
