Eighteen-year-old Elias Benkara has reportedly decided to leave Borussia Dortmund to find a club that can guarantee him regular first-team football. Although his contract runs until June 2026, negotiations for an extension have stalled. According to Africafoot, BVB's management submitted a long-term offer. Benkara, however, is demanding technical guarantees for a permanent role with the senior squad instead of being limited to the reserves. The situation is also influenced by his representation from the powerful agency ROGON, which has strong networks in the Premier League and Bundesliga. The same source reports that German clubs such as Mainz and Eintracht Frankfurt are interested, along with Lille OSC in France and Club Bruges in Belgium. The player reportedly views a transfer as the only way to secure a call-up to the national team under Vladimir Petkovic.
