Perugia has started negotiations to sign 26-year-old Eetu Vertainen from Triestina. A preliminary agreement exists between the two clubs for a fee of 150,000 euros. However, the deal has stalled. The Finnish striker would reportedly only leave Triestina, who are in Serie C, for an offer from abroad or from a club in a higher division. Consequently, Perugia is also considering other players in case the transfer does not happen. Vertainen, who has played for Finland's U21 team, joined Triestina in September 2023 and is under contract until June 2026. He has scored one goal in five league appearances this season.
