Hapoel Jerusalem has stated that there is no purchase option in the loan agreement for Edward Chilufya. The negotiation process involved Hapoel Jerusalem, FC Midtjylland, and the player's agency.

FC Midtjylland states that Edward Chilufya is loaned to Hapoel Jerusalem FC for the remainder of the season. According to the club, the loan agreement is valid for the whole season. Sports director Kristian Bach Bak says on the club's website that Chilufya is very professional and has contributed positively to the club. He also says that despite tough competition for attacking positions and limited playing time, Chilufya has performed when given the chance. Kristian Bach Bak adds that they believe a loan spell is a good opportunity for Chilufya to gain more playing time, and they will follow his progress.

Edward Chilufya was set to be transferred to Hapoel Jerusalem in the last days of the transfer window, but the transfer has not yet been completed. The 26-year-old Zambian winger played in FC Midtjylland's win over AGF on Sunday. He joined the club in January 2022 and his contract is set to expire on December 31, 2028. Chilufya has 21 appearances and one goal for Zambia. His current market value is €700k, according to Transfermarkt.
