According to journalist Igor Burbas, Shakhtar Donetsk is targeting Polissya and Ukraine national team defender Eduard Sarapiy for the summer transfer window. Shakhtar reportedly considers the 26-year-old a player who would strengthen their defense, a move that would also help them with the limit on foreign players. During the winter, Sarapiy extended his contract with Polissya, which includes a five million US dollar release clause that will only become effective in two years. Sarapiy joined Polissya in July 2024 and has one cap for the Ukrainian national team; his current market value on Transfermarkt is €1.50m.
