Edoardo Bove Transfer from Roma to Watford
Watford are trying to sign Edoardo Bove this month as he wants to leave Italy. According to the Watford Observer, the Hornets have held talks with the player about a potential move. The club have reportedly held talks with Bove about signing as a free agent, as he is set to have his contract with Roma terminated. It is believed that there is interest from Bove regarding a move to England, and there is optimism that the Championship side can reach an agreement soon. Watford are understood to want financial and medical concerns to be resolved before any deal is finalised, but they are hopeful he will join the club this month.
According to RomaSport, Watford could soon acquire AS Roma’s Edoardo Bove. Watford’s interest is also highlighted by Gazzetta dello Sport, which claims the club have made insistent offers for him.
Nicolò Schira reported that Watford, as well as unnamed clubs from Turkey and Greece, have expressed interest in Edoardo Bove as a free agent. The 23-year-old Italian midfielder is in the process of terminating his contract with Roma, which was valid until the summer of 2028. He is compelled to leave Italy because Serie A regulations prohibit players with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator from competing. Although he has not played this season due to the rule, Italian sources indicate he is in good physical condition from working with a personal coach under medical supervision. PAOK had also shown interest in him during the summer of 2024. Bove has 14 caps and one goal for the Italy U21 team.
