Tranmere have confirmed that forward Dylan Jones has re-joined Rovers on a season-long loan from Championship side Norwich City. Jones, 21, was on loan at Rovers for the second half of last season, but his time at Prenton Park was ended by injury after four appearances. Jones said he is delighted to be back, stating that he loved his time there last season but it ended too soon and he feels he has more to accomplish at Tranmere. Tranmere manager Darrell Clarke said they know Dylan well from his previous spell and that it was a significant disappointment for both the player and the club when his time was unfortunately ended. Clarke added that Jones has worked hard to get himself back fully fit, has done the whole pre-season with Norwich, is prepared to play, and that they are delighted to have him back.

He stated that Tranmere is a great club he knows a lot about, adding that he is very excited and eager to bring his attributes to the team.

Dylan Jones has completed a loan move from Norwich City to League Two team Tranmere Rovers for the remainder of the season. The 21-year-old English striker, who joined Norwich from non-league Plymouth Parkway in February 2025, has scored four goals and provided one assist in six Premier League Two matches for the development side. The move is intended to provide Jones with first-team football experience, a step Norwich felt he was prepared for. Tranmere manager Andy Crosby noted that Jones' pace will complement the club's other strikers and thanked Ben Knapper and Dean Rastrick at Norwich for their help in finalizing the deal. His contract with Norwich expires in June 2027.
