Late in the winter transfer window, Juventus considered signing 34-year-old Colombian striker Duván Zapata from Torino at the request of their coach, Luciano Spalletti. Spalletti wanted a forward with more physicality, but Torino immediately rejected any possibility of a transfer. Zapata joined Torino in July 2024 for a reported fee of €5.6 million and is contracted until June 2027, scoring one goal and providing one assist in 18 Serie A appearances this season.
