According to journalist Germán García Grova from Bolavip, a principle agreement has been reached between Racing de Avellaneda and América de Cali for Duván Vergara. Racing will pay $1 million to América and forgive the $2 million debt that América owes for Juan Fernando Quintero. The agreement with the player is complete.

Nevertheless, América de Cali has resolved not to engage in any transfer negotiations during the concluding stages of the Colombian League. According to journalist Felipe Sierra, Racing has yet to submit an offer, and América de Cali intends to evaluate any proposals only after the season has ended. There is direct communication between the two clubs, facilitated by a previous transfer involving Juan Fernando Quintero, which helps to reduce outside interference.
