Douglas Owusu leaving Radnik Surdulica?

Douglas Owusu has transferred to Red Star Belgrade from Radnik Surdulica for a 2.2 million euro fee. Owusu stated that he is very happy and excited to join the club, which he considers a great opportunity. He added that it was an easy choice because Red Star is a good team. Owusu also mentioned the team has the possibility to qualify for the next phase of the Europa League and to win the title.

Ghanaian radio station Joy FM has reported that Douglas Owusu has signed with Rode Ster Belgrado. According to the station's reporter, Joseph Ayinga-Walter, Owusu is making a transfer within Serbia from Radnik Surdulica, Rode Ster Belgrado is paying 2.7 million euros to their league rival, and a resale percentage of fifteen percent has been agreed upon.

Red Star Belgrade will pay a total fee of 2,700,000 euros for Douglas Owusu, plus 15 percent of the next sale. One million euros will be paid immediately, with the rest in installments. Douglas Owusu had several offers from abroad, with the most concrete coming from Viktoria Plzen. There was also interest from Feyenoord, Aris, Samsun, and the Egyptian club Al Ahly, but Red Star Belgrade outbid the competition.
