Red Bull Salzburg is interested in signing FC Basel's vice-captain, Dominik Schmid. Schmid is a 28-year-old Swiss left-back. It is reported that he is open to a move to Austria, which would be his first club abroad. There have also been rumors of interest in the player from clubs in Germany and Poland. Schmid's contract runs until 2027. From a financial standpoint, a transfer this summer would be logical for Basel if they wish to earn a fee for him.
