Union has extended the contract with 19-year-old Ukrainian Centre-Forward Dmytro Bogdanov during the training camp in Austria. The duration of the new contract is not revealed. Sport-Boss Horst Heldt stated that Dmytro is a very ambitious young player who is consistently advancing his development. Heldt added that they see great potential in him and are convinced that he will find the right conditions at Union to take the next steps, which is why they are happy to continue on the path together. Dmytro Bogdanov said he is very happy about the contract extension. He stated that since his first day at Union, he has felt great trust and has been excellently received by the club. Bogdanov added that for him, it is the perfect environment to develop further as a player and a person, and that he wants to use this opportunity and work hard every day to contribute to the team. Bogdanov has 13 caps and 3 goals for the Ukraine U19 national team. He joined Union from Dynamo Dresden in August 2025 for a fee of €600,000, and his current market value is €800,000, according to Transfermarkt.
