Dmitriy Barinov leaving Lokomotiv Moskva?

RB Sport reports that agent Pavel Banatin stated that Lokomotiv made a contract extension offer to Dmitry Barinov which did not satisfy him. Banatin said they are not waiting for anything and are playing football and fulfilling the contract. The agent also said he cannot evaluate the likelihood of Barinov leaving in January, adding that Barinov is the leader and captain of Lokomotiv. According to Banatin, the likelihood of Barinov leaving or staying was estimated as 50-50 about a month ago and it remains the same today. He noted there will be another meeting next week.

Vladimir Kuzmichev stated that a proposal from Greeks appeared in the transfer window, which Lokomotiv rejected, citing that they had not received an official offer. Kuzmichev said there were complications in financial relations between Greeks and Russia. Kuzmichev stated that Barinov was ready to pay the required amount himself, €2 million, to buy himself out and transfer, but the request was refused. The 29-year-old Russian midfielder's contract with Lokomotiv expires in June 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €9 million. In addition to the interest from Greece, he has also been linked with CSKA Moskva and Zenit.
