Dmitriy Barinov Transfer from Lokomotiv Moskva to Spartak Moskva
Former footballer Vladimir Bystrov believes 29-year-old Russian defensive midfielder Dmitriy Barinov should not make concessions in his contract renewal negotiations with Lokomotiv, suggesting the player is seeking a good final contract. Speaking on the YouTube channel 'O, rodnoy futbol!', Bystrov questioned why Barinov would accept a lesser deal if a club like Spartak could offer more money. He also noted that if Barinov leaves for free in the summer, it would be beneficial for a new club as they would not have to pay a transfer fee and could instead offer the player better personal terms. Bystrov also dismissed the idea of a transfer to Zenit, stating he does not see how the player could play there. Previous information had linked Barinov with a potential move to CSKA. Barinov has been with Lokomotiv since July 2016 and has 23 caps for Russia. According to Transfermarkt, he is valued at €9.00m. This season, he has registered 3 goals and 6 assists in 16 Premier Liga appearances.
