AS Saint-Etienne has set an asking price of €12.5 million for 17-year-old French-Ivorian striker Djylian N'Guessan, according to L'Équipe. Chelsea has already submitted an offer estimated at €8 million and will need to increase it to sign the player. There is a possibility that if the transfer to the Blues is completed, N'Guessan could then be loaned to Strasbourg, as the Alsatian club is owned by the same group, BlueCo, and Chelsea frequently sends new recruits there. N'Guessan, who has been capped seven times for the France U20 team, has a contract with Saint-Étienne until June 2027. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €2.00m. This season, he has made one appearance in Ligue 2 and one in the National 3 - Grp. G league. In addition to Chelsea, he has been linked with clubs such as Inter Milan and several Premier League teams. An unnamed club reportedly had a €7.5 million offer for the player rejected in August 2025.
