West Ham United were one of several Championship teams interested in signing Sunderland's 21-year-old Ivorian winger, Djiamgone Jocelin Ta Bi, on loan. Watford and multiple Ligue 1 sides were also interested in the player. However, it appears Burnley have now secured his signing. While Watford had explored a loan, The Watford Observer reported that another Championship club was preparing a permanent transfer. Ta Bi joined Sunderland in January 2026 and his contract runs until 2030. He has been capped three times for the Ivory Coast U23 team, scoring two goals. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €2.50m.
