Watford had explored a loan deal for Sunderland's 21-year-old Cote d'Ivoire winger, Jocelin Ta Bi, but another club appears to have secured him. Burnley has seemingly secured the player, moving ahead of other interested parties which included Championship rivals West Ham and several Ligue 1 sides. It was also believed that a different Championship club was preparing a permanent offer, while Burnley's move is thought to be a loan, although a permanent deal has also been discussed. Ta Bi joined Sunderland in January 2026 and his contract runs until 2030. He has been capped three times for the Ivory Coast U23 team, scoring two goals, and has a current market value of €2.50m according to Transfermarkt.
