According to A Bola, Diogo Nascimento is expected to arrive in Vila do Conde in the coming hours to strengthen Rio Ave on loan from Olympiakos. An agreement between the clubs has been in place since May 20, during which time the Greek club sought to find out if there were any parties interested in buying the player's registration.

Diogo Nascimento, a Portuguese midfielder for Olympiakos, is close to being loaned to Rio Ave, as an agreement between the clubs and the player is practically finalized. The loan will allow the 23-year-old U21 international, who was formed at Benfica, to return to the Portuguese Liga to gain consistent playing time and continue his career in Vila do Conde, after not being a main part of coach Mendilibar's plans. Nascimento joined the Greek club in July 2025 and has a contract that runs until June 2029. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €4.00m.
