St Pauli have made a six-figure bid, plus add-ons, for Aberdeen’s Dimitar Mitov. The German Bundesliga 2 side are confident of completing a deal quickly and are waiting to see if their current offer will be accepted. According to St Pauli sources, the club is keen to complete a deal before they play Holstein Kiel on Friday evening. Aberdeen would want to make a significant profit on the six-figure deal they paid St Johnstone two years ago. Mitov is in the final year of his contract, although Aberdeen hold an option to extend for another 12 months. The 29-year-old had indicated that he was interested in a new challenge over the summer. Aberdeen have been preparing for Mitov’s departure, and Record Sport revealed last week that there was interest from Germany, Denmark, Austria and Cyprus. St Pauli want to bring in Mitov to compete with Ben Voll for their No. 1 position.
