The club initially offered a new one-year contract, followed by an extension until the end of 2026. Iliev decided to decline the offer. The reason is that MRI scans have shown issues with an injury for which he was treated and underwent surgery last season. Iliev started summer training with Dusan Kosic, felt pain, and decided to decline a new contract with the team.
