Deyverson leaving Fortaleza?

LDU of Ecuador announced Deyverson four days after he terminated his contract with Fortaleza, according to ESPN BR. The club from Quito made the announcement on its social networks. At his new club, Deyverson will be coached by Brazilian coach Tiago Nunes and will have the opportunity to compete in the CONMEBOL Libertadores, as LDU is qualified for the 2026 edition.

Globo.com reports that Deyverson, formerly of Palmeiras, Atlético-MG and Fortaleza, is the new signing for LDU. The 34-year-old player terminated his contract with Leão da Pici on the 23rd and arrives at the Ecuadorian club at no cost.

ESPN reported that Deyverson has received inquiries from clubs that will play in Série A in 2026. His salary is considered high, and he is expected to leave Fortaleza in the coming weeks.

Renato Paiva, the coach of Fortaleza, has decided to exclude the 34-year-old Brazilian forward Deyverson from his plans for the team. He has been advised to look for opportunities at other clubs as he will not play much under Paiva. Despite being a good professional, he is encouraged to seek options elsewhere as staying at the club just for training is not beneficial. Deyverson's contract with the club runs until the end of 2026, and his market value is currently estimated by Transfermarkt to be €500k.
