Dereck Moncada's former club, Necaxa, are monitoring the 18-year-old Honduran right winger. Necaxa are familiar with Moncada as they share an owner with his other previous club, Internacional de Bogotá. Alongside Necaxa, Wolves are also interested, having previously shown keen interest before the forward moved to FC Lugano in the summer. Wolves are still monitoring him. The Swiss club has Moncada under contract until 2031 and aims to sell him for more than €10m. At present, both Necaxa and Wolves are only following the player and have not held any concrete talks with his representatives or with Lugano. Moncada, who has four caps for Honduras, moved to Lugano from La Equidad in July 2026 for a fee reported to be €3.0 million; his current market value is €2.50m according to Transfermarkt.
