Swiss winger Dereck Kutesa's transfer from AEK to Servette has stalled, despite being considered nearly certain after the player passed his medical examinations. Servette's sporting director, John Williams, told TDG that because of new information from the medical, the club must revise its offer. He stated they are willing to propose a three-year contract but require AEK to lower the transfer fee. Servette is seeking to reduce the fee from €1 million to €500,000. Sion has now also shown interest in the player; their sporting director, Barthélemy Constantin, confirmed their interest and stated that Kutesa is a player he is watching. The 28-year-old has three caps for Switzerland and has a contract with AEK until June 2028. His current market value is €3.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
