According to the Daily Record, midfielder Dennis Geiger is joining Dons on loan from TSG Hoffenheim. Dons sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel has turned to his former club to sign the 27-year-old.

Hoffenheim's German midfielder Dennis Geiger is expected to be loaned to Scottish club Aberdeen. The German club has been attempting to move the 27-year-old, who has been with the club since July 2016, since the summer after he was no longer part of head coach Christian Ilzer's plans for criticising the management. The former Germany U21 international has a contract valid until 2027 and has not played any competitive minutes this season. It is not yet clear if the deal will include an option to buy. German football administrator Lutz Pfannenstiel is involved in the deal. Geiger has also been linked with Ajax, AEK Athens, and Panathinaikos, and has a current market value of €1.50m on Transfermarkt.
