Dennis Duah Transfer from Dynamo Dresden to Energie Cottbus
According to Bild, Dennis Duah is set to join Energie Cottbus on a loan deal for the upcoming season. The 21-year-old center-back, who is contracted until 2027, will spend one year with Energie Cottbus. Duah had been undergoing an extended trial with the team for the last five weeks, and the decision to bring him on board was made by their coach, Pele Wollitz. Previously, Duah moved from Hamburger SV's second team to Dynamo Dresden but failed to make any official appearances last season, leading to him being labeled a transfer flop. Dynamo Dresden's sports director, Thomas Brendel, mentioned that they couldn't assure him of playing time in the forthcoming season and expressed his best wishes for Duah's development in Cottbus.
Bild reported on the potential transfer situation of Dennis Duah involving Dynamo Dresden and Energie Cottbus. Dennis Duah from Dynamo Dresden participated in a trial training session at Energie Cottbus. Dynamo Dresden is looking to offload the center-back, while Energie Cottbus is in need of reinforcements. Duah did not play any league minutes during Dresden's promotion season and has been considered a flop since his transfer from Hamburger SV II. His contract at Dynamo Dresden was automatically extended until 2027 due to the club's promotion. A loan deal seems more probable than a contract termination, as Cottbus is unlikely to pay a transfer fee. Instead, Cottbus might contribute to Duah's salary during a loan. Duah took part in a test match wearing Cottbus clothing and was not included in Dresden's training plans. SGD-Sportgeschäftsführer Thomas Brendel confirmed this, indicating the club's lack of confidence in his future with them. Despite not getting game time, Duah remained a positive influence during Dresden's successful season, and Energie Coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz is eager to evaluate his abilities in person.
