According to sports director Roland Kirchler, promotion candidate Austria Lustenau and rival club Wacker Innsbruck have both expressed interest in 24-year-old Austrian offensive player Denizcan Cosgun. Cosgun is not contractually bound to Austria Salzburg. Kirchler stated that talks have already taken place with the player and his advisor. He believes the decision is not primarily about money but rather about what the player wants and the offers he receives, and noted that Cosgun feels comfortable at the club. The player himself commented that he would see what the talks bring and how the situation develops, adding that for now he is at Austria Salzburg and that the focus should be on the two remaining games. Cosgun has a current Transfermarkt market value of €250k and has been capped four times for the Austria U16 team, scoring one goal.
