Reports in the German press state that Galatasaray wants to transfer Monaco player and captain Denis Zakaria. The reports also state that Monaco expects an offer from Galatasaray for the transfer in the range of 20–30 million euros.

Galatasaray is targeting Monaco's Denis Zakaria as an alternative to their primary midfield target, Pape Gueye. The 29-year-old Swiss international is a 1.90m defensive midfielder with a market value of 25 million Euro. He previously impressed with his performance against the Turkish club. Galatasaray plans to hold meetings with Monaco for the player, who is a former Juventus and Chelsea player, and will compare the proposed terms with those for Gueye. If Zakaria's conditions are considered more favorable, the club will then proceed with his transfer. Zakaria has 61 caps and 3 goals for Switzerland. He joined Monaco in August 2023 for a €20.0 million fee and is under contract until June 2028. He has made 7 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, providing one assist. In addition to Galatasaray, Beşiktaş has also been linked with the midfielder. Reports from January 2026 suggest Monaco's asking price is approximately €20 million. It was also reported that an offer of €40-45 million was prepared by Al Ahli in August 2025.
