Negotiations with GKS Katowice have continued and advanced. According to Sport.ro, Rapid's management has permitted Denis Ciobotariu to talk with the Polish team, and the clubs are getting closer to an agreement for the transfer. The discussions have proceeded well, although the move has not been finalized.

GKS Katowice, which is 16th in the Ekstraklasa, wants Denis Ciobotariu. The interest from the Polish side is real and negotiations are ongoing. Rapid's president, Victor Angelescu, confirmed that there is an offer for Denis Ciobotariu, stating that they initially refused it and will see what happens. Polish media reported that GKS Katowice urgently seeks defensive reinforcements and Denis Ciobotariu is on their shortlist.

GKS Katowice's management is interested in Romanian defender Denis Ciobotariu, who currently plays for Rapid. If GKS attempts to acquire Ciobotariu, the transfer fee could be record-breaking. The player is currently valued at 1.3 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.com. Acquiring the Romanian might cost more, as his contract runs until mid-2028.
