Delvin Alfonzo leaving Millonarios?

Delvin Alfonzo has decided to leave Millonarios after the team's defeat against La Equidad. Journalist Julián Capera reported that Alfonzo will join Águilas Doradas on loan with an option to buy. The player is not being considered by coach David González, prompting his decision to leave. There is a verbal agreement for the loan, and Alfonzo is traveling tonight for medical examinations. He will be presented as a new signing for Águilas Doradas soon.

According to journalist Julián Capera, Millonarios is in advanced talks with Águilas Doradas for Delvin Alfonzo to join the Antioquian team. The deal is being worked out as a loan with an option to buy, allowing the Venezuelan defender to play for the Rionegro club from this semester. Alfonzo joined Millonarios in January 2024 but has struggled to secure a regular spot in the team.

Delvin Alfonzo is seeking to leave Millonarios for the next semester. Despite being a significant player under previous management, he has lost prominence under the current coach David González due to competition from other players like Sander Navarro and Helibelton Palacios. His contract runs until 2026 and although he has been part of the Venezuelan national team, his desired positions are reportedly filled in several potential destinations. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market worth at 700k euros.
