Despite his impressive performance in the previous Bundesliga season, where he scored ten goals and provided nine assists, SK Rapid's Sporting Director, Markus Katzer, confirmed that the club would not be making an offer for Zukic. The player from Wolfsberger AC was considered as a possible reinforcement for Rapid's offensive midfield, especially after their successful qualification for the UEFA Conference League group stage. However, Katzer indicated that Rapid would not be pursuing Zukic, as their focus has shifted towards negotiating with Tobias Gulliksen, a 22-year-old Norwegian player from Djurgarden. Zukic's contract with Wolfsberger AC is valid until June 30, 2027, and his market value is estimated at €5.00m by Transfermarkt.
