Nicolo Schira reports that Spezia is considering goalkeeping options, including 30-year-old Italian Davide Merelli and Gioele Zacchi. Davide Merelli of Crotone is Spezia's first choice for the goalkeeper position. However, due to the high demands from the Calabrian club, the Ligurians are also evaluating Gioele Zacchi from Sassuolo. Merelli joined Crotone in July 2025, and his contract is set to expire in June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €175k.
