David Okereke, a 28-year-old Nigerian forward, joined Cremonese in July 2022 on a contract that runs until June 2026. During the January transfer window, the club received a proposal for him from Cincinnati in the MLS and other offers from Turkey. Cremonese decided not to let the player leave, and he was reintegrated into the team a few weeks later. In August 2025, reports claimed Cremonese had rejected a €1 million bid from Rayo Vallecano and asked for at least €2.5 million, while the reports also said Cercle Brugge had made a €3 million offer. In the current Serie A season, Okereke has scored one goal in four appearances. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.50m.
