Inter Miami has signed Argentine midfielder David Ayala from Portland Timbers. The Florida club announced that David Ayala will have a contract until the end of 2026. A statement from Inter Miami detailed that the transfer fee is two million dollars (1.7 million euros) and includes an additional 150,000 dollars in performance-based incentives.

Inter Miami has reached an agreement on terms with Argentine midfielder David Ayala. The 23-year-old is reportedly set to join from the Portland Timbers in a $2 million deal, which will give manager Javier Mascherano added midfield depth following the retirement of Sergio Busquets. Ayala joined the Timbers in February 2022 and his contract was set to expire at the end of 2026. The midfielder has previously represented Argentina at the U20 level and, according to Transfermarkt, has a current market value of €4.00m.
