Journalist Carlos Antonio Vélez stated on his X account that 38-year-old Colombian attacker Carlos Darwin Quintero accepted terms from Santa Fe two nights ago and requested them in writing. The club sent the written offer the following day. After the offer was sent, Quintero reportedly stopped responding to calls and sent a message indicating he was focused on another matter. Vélez added that it appears Millos approached the player subsequently, and that Santa Fe is now seeking other options to strengthen that position. Quintero is set to become a free agent from Deportivo Pereira because of salary delays. He has 14 caps and one goal for Colombia and joined Deportivo Pereira in January 2024. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €50k.
