After 38-year-old Colombian forward Carlos Darwin Quintero terminated his contract with Deportivo Pereira, both Junior and América showed interest in him, but neither club submitted a formal proposal. The forward had been in negotiations with Independiente Santa Fe and Millonarios and turned down the offer from Santa Fe. Journalist Mariano Olsen reported that Quintero has now agreed to contractual terms to join Millonarios starting in January 2026. The Colombian international has 14 caps and one goal for his country. His current market value is €50k, according to Transfermarkt.
